Anyhoo, most of Umatilla County is coated in a sheet of ice. Your intrepid reporter made it almost all the way to work and then completely biffed it getting down the hill from the river trail. Ouch.

Things that are closed: all K-12 schools, community college campuses, county courthouses

Things that are not closed: City hall, city services like fire and police, Wildhorse Resort and Casino, Pendleton Woolen Mill

Things that might be closed: Pendleton Public Library, PGG

Most importantly, we haven’t received word of any major accidents or injuries. The EO office is a bit of a ghost town, since many of our reporters and editors couldn’t make it in. Things are, of course, much worse with the flooding in western Oregon.
