If you’re a reporter, November is all too close on the horizon.
So yesterday was a big day for Pendleton election doings. Mayor Phil Houk kicked off his election campaign. He’s running unopposed, so far, and this will be his third term if he’s elected.
We have our first contender for the at-large seat that will be soon vacated by Justin Pearce, who you may remember announced last year he wouldn’t run again after losing his job with St. Anthony Hospital under circumstances nobody would go on the record about.
Anyhoo, Jane Hill says she’s up for the gig. Hill brings about 20 years of experience in a public policy career, including working as a staffer for Democratic Sen. Ron Wyden, and she says she’ll bring that to the table.
